Tsunami Golf is a new golf community built by and for golfers. Our intent in managing this community is to give regular golfers a spot to find new golf partners, share golf stories, and talk about legendary golf trips. Tsunami golf was born from the Tsunami Cup Championship (TCC) which originated in the winter of 2016, inspired by a Minnesota pond hockey tournament called the Summit Pond Hockey Classic. A group of friends found themselves in a "sweet spot" of life—few had children yet, they had started adult jobs, and had just enough disposable income to organize a summer golf tournament together. The tournament's unusual name came from a high school beer bong the group had nicknamed "Johnny Tsunami" as a code word to discuss it over the phone, thinking themselves clever operatives at the time. With that legacy in mind, they launched the first TCC at the now-defunct Rich Valley Golf Club near Rosemount, Minnesota.
